Five Stars Scanner Appeal - May 2010
We have now become patrons of the ‘Five Stars Scanner Appeal’ which is a fabulous charity aiming to raise £1 million to buy a new MRI scanner for the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. Every year nearly 200,000 children suffering from cancer and other serious illnesses in the North West receive treatment at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. For over thirty years this charity has been raising funds and providing the hospital with essential, life saving, equipment. The existing scanner was provided by the charity 13 years ago under the appeal name of The Bryan Robson Scanner Appeal. Technology has since moved on and the new scanners are less frightening for children. The new equipment will aid doctors in diagnosing cancer and cancer related illnesses more quickly, enabling them to provide early treatment that will ultimately save children’s lives. Now we have a little family of our own this charity is close to our hearts. So to help raise funds, Carlo participated in a celebrity ‘cook off competition’ last month – in which he had to cook a three-course dinner for guests! Set-Jetting in Style Book Launch! - Dec 2009
Our new film inspired travel guide ‘Set-jetting in Style’ is being published on February 3rd 2010, so we’re inviting you to a special evening to launch the new book at the famous ‘Travel Book Shop’ in Notting Hill. Although the bookshop wasn’t actually for filming, it was the inspiration behind the love scenes where Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant met. We’ll be signing books on the evening as well as leading a travel talk about our experiences visiting some of the worlds best known film locations. Free drinks and snacks included! Set-Jetting in Style publication postponed! - Oct 2009
We’ve taken the very difficult decision to postpone our publication ‘Set-Jetting in Style’ which was initially due out this month. But fear not – we will now be launching the title in January 2010.
